Let Breadth=B=x metre
Then Length=L=1.5x metres
Floor area=A=L*B=x*1.5x=1.5x^2
Rate of carpeting=Rc=18/m^2
Cost of carpeting=Cc=972
972=A*Rc=(1.5x^2)*18
x=6
B=6 ,L=1.5*6=9.......................................................(i)

Let Height of floor=H
Area of four walls=Aw=2(L*H)+2(B*H)
Aw=2(9*H)+2(6*H)....................................from (i)
Aw=30H
Rate of white wash=Rw=6/m^2
Cost of white wash=Cw=1080
1080=Aw*Rw=30H*6
H=6
Height of wall is 6 metre
