A rectangular plot is half as long again as it is broad. The area of the plot is 2/3 hectares.

let breadth = x
then length =1.5 x in metres
then x*3/2 x = 2/3*1000
so x = 2/3 *100 = 200/3
therefore length of the plot = 3/2 * 200/3 = 100 m
