Ram hears a sound of whistle after 2 sec. of whistling by Shyam and Shyam hears a sound of whistle after 3 sec. of whistling by Ram. If Ram and Shyam are in the line of flow of wind, then velocity of wind in m/s is.
(Given that the speed of sound is 300 m/s)

Since the distance is constant , we can use{ distance=speed*time } for both cases

Also since Ram heard sound in 2 sec and Shyam heard sound in 3 sec ;;;

Which means when Ram heard sound , it is going in the direction of wind , that's why time is less

Let the velocity of wind be x,, then

2*(300+x) = 3*(300-x)

which gives x=60 m/s
