Evander Holyfield
Ruiz fought Holyfield in late 2000, losing the first fight but beating him in a 2001 rematch. He lost the title in 2003 but won it back again the next year and held it until the end of 2005 - Ruiz did fight Toney (early in 2005) and lost, but Toney failed a drug test after the match, was suspended and had to surrender the win. Ruiz fought Haye, in 2010, as the final challenger to recapture the title, but lost with a TKO. Lewis was an earlier champion and Holyfield challenger.
