Stilt-walkers
The group was named Les Échassiers de Baie-Saint-Paul (The Waders, or wading birds, of Baie-Saint-Paul). It was founded by Gilles Ste-Croix who with street performer Guy Laliberté founded Cirque du Soleil, and as well as stilt-walkers included jugglers, fire breathers and musicians. It toured between 1980 and 1983.
