The Washington Monument
The Eiffel Tower was built in 1889 and stands 324 m (1,063 ft) tall. The Washington Monument, 169.294 m (555 feet 5? inches) tall, was completed in 1884. The Great Pyramid of Giza was originally 146.478 m (480.57 ft) tall. Lincoln Cathedral, England was the tallest building to 1549, with a tower reputedly 160 m (525 ft) high. The Colossus of Rhodes stood over 30 m (107 ft) high until it was destroyed in 226BC by an earthquake.
