Rickettsial
Rickettsiae are bacteria that can only survive inside cells, and the diseases are mostly spread to humans by arthropods such as ticks, lice, mites and fleas. Effects can be severe and life-threatening, particularly if not treated early, but otherwise are generally self-limiting.
