Walter Raleigh
Sir Thomas More (1478 – 1535) was a counsellor to Henry VIII, executed for treason. Sir Francis Drake (1540 – 1596) was a Vice Admiral and politician for Elizabeth I. Captain James Cook (1728 – 1779) was an explorer and cartographer, killed in a fight with Hawaiians during his third exploratory voyage in the Pacific.
