Kurnool

When Andhra State,was carved out of Madras State (1 October 1953), Karnool was its capital till , with Kurnool as its capital city.
On 1 November 1956 Andhra Pradesh was formed by merging Andhra State with the Telugu-speaking areas of Hyderabad State with Hyderabad as a capital of the state.
