FitzGerald
Edward FitzGerald is celebrated as the first and most famous translator of The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam, the 12th century Persian astronomer, poet and mathematician. The name change happened when his father John Purcell adopted the name and family arms of the family of his very wealthy wife.
