The Opening ceremony was held on 8 August. The following matches were played on 7 August: Australia v Serbia, Côte d'Ivoire v Argentina, Japan v United States, Netherlands v Nigeria, Brazil v Belgium, China PR v New Zealand, Honduras v Italy and Korea Republic v Cameroon.
