Drax Power Station uses both biomass and coal, and is capable of co-firing petcoke. It has approximately a 2.6 GW capacity for biomass and 1.3 GW capacity for coal, a total generating capacity of 3,960 megawatts. It provides about 7% of the UK's electricity demand.
