+1 vote

US has one of the longest history of being a democratic state and the country has laid a lot of emphasis on Freedom and Equality of Women all along. But, why then, has there not been even a single Lady President of this great country, while countries like

  • Bangla Desh,
  • Pakistan, and
  • India,
have already elected a women as their head of state, sometimes more than once.

Any reasoning?

The growing number of`Indians wanting to join the IS is definitely a matter of concern but more concerning is the fact that IS is no longer a destination for just the bigoted fanatics but also for young impressionable youngsters who seem to be alienated by the society in some way or the other. India today is younger than ever with the percentage of youth w.r.t population being at its peak. Even though the numbers are miniscule right now there should be alarm bells ringing because of the fact that people from all walks of life irrespective of cast, creed and religion are keen to join an outfit like IS. what is the impetus for these for these youngsters. It is apparent that there are many recruiters online who are targeting these youngsters.
I think the social pundits and people in power should seek answers to this complex problem which needs to be addressed immediately. I don't think the IS and its recruiters are the problem here. If not this group then some other fringe elements will get a hold on them as its the disgruntled youth who are looking out for some sort of outlet.
