Mrs. Voorhees

The franchise's main character Jason Voorhees (a camper drowned in 1957 at Camp Crystal Lake because of counselor negligence) was the motivation for the killings by his crazed mother, Mrs. Voorhees (Betsy Palmer) in the first film.
